Make a Donation

The core operating costs of the ASF are not high since we have no physical facilities to maintain.  We intend to operate as far as possible with volunteer contributions of time and talent – not just to save money, but because we believe this is the best way to build any community.  We do however have ongoing costs related to the maintaining the website and for providing the communications linkages  that are essential to staying in touch and building the Fellowship.  As we grow at least some of these costs will also grow, especially as we identify new program and resource initiatives to support our members and to enable the ASF’s commitment to outreach.

To prepare for these opportunities, we would ask you in prayer to consider whether you are called to make a contribution toward the mission of the ASF.

DONATE ONLINE:  Since the ASF is part of the overall ministry of the Anglican Network in Canada, you can make a donation to the Anglican Sojourner Fellowship via ANiC’s charity donation page on Canada Helps.  To designate your contribution to the work of the ASF, select “ANiC Sojourner Fellowship” under “Fund/Designation”.

Note:  if you would like to make a donation to the Anglican Network in Canada, you can do so at this same link – under “Fund/Designation” just select “ANiC General Fund”, “ANiC Legal Fund”, or “Asian and Multicultural Ministries in Canada”.

DONATE BY MAIL:  If you prefer to make a donation by cheque, make the cheque payable to Anglican Network in Canada (please specify that the donation is for the Anglican Sojourner Fellowship) and mail it to:

Anglican Network in Canada

ANiC will send you a charitable donations receipt for income tax purposes at the end of the year.

Q: How much of my donation goes to the actual charity?

A:  About 95% or 96%:  “CanadaHelps assesses a 3.9% transaction fee on each donation. This amount is deducted before the donation is sent to the charity. This 3.9% is covers all credit card merchant fees, transaction fees, banking costs, receipting, reconciliation and disbursement. The 3.9% is a modest charge for the service that CanadaHelps provides to Canadian donors and the charities.
Donations to charities that aren’t registered with CanadaHelps for the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) of donations are assessed an additional 1% (for a total of 4.9% per transaction).”
